The work process in support projects are given below for your reference.
1. The customer or the end user logs a call through any tool or by mail (RADIX).
2. Each one of the support team is a part of support group.
3. Whenever a customer logs a call he /she has to mention to which work group (by name).
4. Once the calls came to the work group the support consultant or the team need to send an IR (Initial Response) to the user depending upon the priority of the calls. (Top,High,Med,Low,None)
5. Then the error is fixed, debugged by the support consultant or the team. Then after testing properly by generating TR(Transport Request through the basis admin)
6. Then it is informed to the end user/customer/super user about the changes which have moved to the production server by CTS process.
An example:
Tickets in SD can be considered as the problems which the end user or the employee in the company face while working on R/3. Tickets usually occur during the implementation or after theimplementation of the project. There can be numerous problem which can occur in the production support and a person who is working in the support has to resolve those tickets in the limited duration, every ticket has the particular deadline alert so your responsibility is to finish it before that deadline.

Project Description: Development of Screws & Spindles a complete package which starts from first level testing and allocation to own brand or auction selling for own produced Screws & spindles. Testing and grading of Screws & Spindles offered in auction, which the company intends to purchase. Auction floor activities like marking of purchase price, quantity for own purchase as well as competitor's purchase. Allocating own purchase to various brand and locations. Monitoring own screws & spindles sold in auction. Monitoring own products exported. Finally the entire data is uploaded to SAP module.
Developed a package to monitor the sales at primary level(consignee level) and also at secondary level(stockist/dealer level) and provide daily stock position at consignee level. This enables to forecast the indent for the consignee on a monthly basis. Further this software has the provision for the consignee to regularly update the materials received from the packeting units and also view the materials marked for the consignee, which has been dispatched by the packeting unit. This also provides MIS for Zone/State/City wise sales, state wise budgeted sales v/s actual sales and other necessary MIS.
Environment: All the above mentioned software either runs on Oracle 7.3.4 on SCO Unix 5.0.5 or Oracle 8 on Windows NT 4.0.
The front-end used are either Forms 5.0 & Reports 3.0 or Forms 6.0 & Reports 6.0.
Role: Complete design & development followed by implementation as these are all in-house projects.
