• Brink’s Inc — IT Program Director for Latin America & Canada
Reporting directly to the CIO at the IT head quarter in Dallas (Texas) and the Corporate Board in Richmond (Virginia), but based in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Responsible for giving IT directions for 9 countries in Latin America (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico and Venezuela) and Canada, through the essential duties:
― Improve a deeper project management culture, through regional standards.
― Conduct regional IT conferences on a quarterly basis.
― Be the Senior IT Advisor and Business Counselor & Visionary to the Country Managers on the quality of their IT Organizations.
― Plan and deliver three year technology plan for Latin America & Canada.
― Develop and maintain communications roadmaps, manage global vendor relationships, attend regional IT project meetings.
― Maintain strong project status communications with IT managers, directors and executive management team.
― Improve and optimize the relationships of the Latin America & Canada IT community.
― Enhance information security awareness and compliance in conjunction with Sarbanes Oxley standards and policies.
― Improve purchasing in regards to Global Contracts working with global Support team.
― Plan and deliver global telecommunication services.
― Develop and maintain communication roadmaps, manage regional vendors, plan and manage IT projects.
― Mapping hardware, software and IT services to establish new policies and strategy for each country.
― Implementing Oracle (ERP) for all countries in the region.
― Provide strategic planning and implementation of new technologies in order to meet Firm and client needs and support strategic business plans
― Ensure that there is strategic alignment between the business and the IS department and that IS remains adaptive and responsive to the needs of the firm and its clients by maintaining strong relationships between IS and its users.
― Develop best-of-breed solutions that are delivered on time and on budget where required to meet the needs of the business based on approved business cases.
― Lead the IS staff throughout the Firm including personnel (hiring, performance reviews, team building, training, mentoring) and financial management (budgets and contracts).
― Direct the daily operation of the Firm’s IS department which requires the support of multiple information and communications systems and projects (e.g. data, voice, security, networks, etc.).
― Develop and maintain an enterprise architecture that provides for a fully integrated suite of applications and data at the conceptual, logical and physical levels and allows for alignment of business needs, information, processes, security and infrastructure.
― Ensure that the IS infrastructure is secure and protected and there is an approved and operational plan for disaster recovery and business continuity.
― Exercise solid prioritization, decision-making, and communication skills to resolve conflicting priorities and resource allocation issues in a prudent manner work with vendors as required, understanding technology trends and direction and assessing their applicability to enhancing the services that IS delivers.
― Remain available to the department on a 24/7 basis and ensure the provision of user support outside of regular business hours by the department.
― Demonstrate initiative in maintaining current awareness of technological and related business trends by attending conferences, reading updates and subscribing to memberships with related industry associations.
