Design 2004s

• Designed and configuration sand box, Development, QA and Production.

• Identified all the cubes and ODS (Data Store Objects) objects to plan forecast and stimulation of Cadence planning.

• Created naming conventions.

• Migrated 3.x objects to 2004s.Created new Transformation rules

• Used Open Hub for info spoke and Data mart.

• Identified all the source system to extract date from Non-SAP systems.

• Modified interfaces and extractors to load data in to BI system.

Extraction

• Worked on data extraction from FI/CO Line Item Level. FI Extraction with a timestamp mechanism.

• CO-OM Extraction with delta mechanism.

• Head Count from HCM and People soft.

• Extracted data from R/3 table’s data sources to the G/L Accounts, Accts. Receivable and Accts. Payable data targets.

• Developed ODS for the FI - GL, AP and AR line items for region wise consolidation of the data.

Project System (PS)

• PMP/Project System reporting and other R/3 application components used to plan, execute, and account for projects as part of normal commercial procedures.

• Worked on U-Perform tool with change management for knowledge transfer and end user training.

BEx (IP Reporting)

• Planning Modular for planning and aggregation to plan.

• Created new BEx and Web reports for GL and OPEX reporting. (Operational excellence)

• Queries were developed using Filters, Restricted Key figures, Calculated Key figures and Variables for Characteristics, Key figures, Hierarchies, etc.

• Development of specific Queries based on user requirements using BEx Analyzer as well as utilization of Business content related queries and workbook.

BEx (Queries)

• Used transformation rfc path in BEx

• Worked on the enhancement of both BEx and Web reporting.

• Created web reports in the Web Application Designer and also enhanced the web reports, which were created in BEx.

• Interacted with users for their feed back for creating reports.

• Created Hierarchies for the betterment of reporting. Loaded data through flat files and also through R/3 for the hierarchies.

Info Packages

• Created Info Packages for loading the hierarchies to the different environments.

SAP Basis

• Involved in SAP basis to Update the server with new packages for better Design of system workflow.

• Designed security for Roles, End users and team members.

• Updated the stacks for GUI, Integrated planning and for BEx.

Testing

• Transported queries, workbooks, RRI’s etc from the development to the testing to the production environments.

• Involved in the SIT, UAT, MTP and Postproduction phases of the project.

• Prepared user and technical documentation.

Design Upgrade:

• Reviewed SAP BW 3.5 feature lists for possible inclusion in developments for up-gradation to Net weaver 2004s.

• Worked on additional software components (e.g. SAP Web AS J2EE, SAP EP 6.0, etc) to upgrade SAP

SAP Notes:

• Reviewed SAP BW 3.5 Upgrade notes, SAP BI Content 7.0 upgrade notes, SAP Web Application Server 6.40 upgrade notes, OS and DB specific upgrade notes, SAP BW Add-on upgrade notes, (e.g. SAP SEM, ST-PI, etc), Plug-In upgrade SAP notes.

• Check DB version/patch level and OS version/patch level required for upgrade

• SAP BW add-ons installed that require additional handling (e.g. SAP SEM, Enterprise Portal Plug-in, etc)

• Checked SAP BW Add-on upgrade requirements Minimum Support Package and kernel levels for Upgrade

BEx:

• SAP BW BEx Front-end and SAP BW Web applications (formerly web reports in SAP BW 3.x)

• Installed new SAP GUI 2004s for The SAP BW Business Explorer Front end.

• Checked the consistency of SAP BW web objects (web reports, web templates, URLs, roles, etc

• Install and configure the SAP Web AS 6.40 Internet Graphics Service (IGS).

• Migrated all the reports from 3.x to 7.0.

Tools:

• The Alpha Conversion tool is executed by Transaction RSMDCNVEXIT to check the system status.

• That all Characteristics Have Correct Internal Values,

• The Alpha converter tool check has been used and data problems have been detected.

• The Info Object and the data have been processed before the upgrade started.

• Used SAP BW Analysis Tool (transaction RSRV), perform extensive tests on all-important SAP BW Objects to ensure their correctness prior to the upgrade.

Basis:

• Applied necessary support packages, kernel patches, and DB And OS patches to meet upgrade requirements

• Applied all SAP Net Weaver ’04 Support Package stacks (SP-Stacks).

• Checked all customer created Data classes used by SAP BW Objects (i.e. Info Cubes, ODS Objects, Aggregates,

• Info Objects, and PSAs) so that they conform to SAP standards.

• Installed AS-JAVA, AS- ABAP for federal portal.

• New security objects are implemented and assigned to all SAP BW users.

• Prepared user and technical documentation.
