As a production planner my responsibilities were to arrange production based upon the demand.  I prepared the routing and work center for the new project.  I released trial orders and based upon the result calculated the capacity achievement rate, to arrange materials required for production.  I also calculated the manpower based upon the project requirements.

  • Arrange Production based on the demand given by the Business team and follow till the production is completed.
  • Monitored capacity, output and work order achievement status from workshop.
  • Held production meetings daily together with production concerned departments to review the production status, planning achievement, big abnormality, urgent shipments, targets, etc.
  • Reviewed and analyzed FG, SFG and RM inventory level weekly. Finding out the excess material that can’t be consumed by the customer demand and clarified the liability.  Shared the excess information with business and pushed to get more orders from customer, to do the corrective actions.
  • Set the inventory principle for FG with business section every month. Build up inventory according to it.
  • Arranged production and manpower to support production line.
  • Calculated the capacity to each workshop to identify the bottle neck capacity and arrange production based on the capacity.
  • Prepared monthly and yearly forecast plans for manpower and machines accordingly.
  • Effective utilization of all the available resources (Material, Manpower and Machine).
  • Monitoring BOM consumptions rate changing. Push NPI team to change the BOM if there is too big gap between BOM and actual status.
  • Gathered and published Delivery Risk report for current, weekly and daily.  Did the level best to remove all the risk factors (such as material shortage, tooling break down, manpower shortage and quality abnormality) before demand limit time.  When necessary escalated the issue to senior level.
  • Reported to PMC manager regularly regarding on time delivery, capacity and manpower utilization, planning achievement and inventory status.
  • Enhanced communication with concerning departments to keep the process running efficiently be able to optimize the procedures related to PMC work internally.
  • Made monthly PAR (Planning Achievement Rate), CAR (Capacity Achievement Rate), Machine and Manpower utilization reports.

 

In addition to the above role, also acted as a Production Engineer which comprises the following:

 

  • Arrange the production plan. Ensuring the capacity achievement rate is more than 98%
  • Improved the efficiency and capacity of the equipment
  • Improved the yield rate of process; ensure the yield rate is more than the target defined.
